A pilgrimage tour to the temple involves a trek of around 13 kilometres from the base camp at Katra to the Vaishno Devi Temple located at an altitude of around 5,200 feet. Every year thousands of devotees undertake this trek with unwavering faith and devotion.

Amarnath: The Amarnath Cave Temple holds immense significance for Hindus. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva and houses a naturally formed ice lingam. Numerous pilgrims undertake the annual Amarnath Yatra during the months of July and August for the darshan of the revered ice lingam.

Rameshwaram:  A visit to Rameshwaram is a major highlight of pilgrimage tourism. Ramanathaswamy Temple is dedicated to Hindu god Shiva and boasts of the world’s longest corridor. The temple is truly an architectural marvel, characterized by its majestic towers, imposing structure and intricate sculptural works. There are many other prominent temples at Rameshwaram as well, like Kothandaramaswamy Temple and Gandhamathana Parvatham.

Varanasi: Also known as the religious capital of India, Varanasi is an important part of pilgrimage tour packages. It is home to a number of revered temples like Vishwanath Temple, Kashi Vishwanath Temple, and Dhanvantari Temple. Here you can also find numerous ghats where several rituals are performed.

Chota Char Dham: This is one of the holiest pilgrimage circuits located in the Himalayas, and encompasses Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath. Chota Char Dham pilgrimage tour is undertaken by numerous Hindus as it is believed to cleanse sins and pave the path to salvation. The yatra commences with a visit to the Yamunotri Temple which is dedicated to Goddess Yamuna, followed by the Gangotri Temple that is dedicated to Goddess Ganga. Subsequent to that, pilgrims typically proceed to Kedarnath Temple, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas. They conclude their journey at the Badrinath Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu. This temple houses a Shaligram (black stone) deity of Lord Badrinarayana that is about 1 ft tall. Badrinath temple lies near the banks of the Alaknanda River and is considered one of the 106 earthly Divya Desam temples.

Puri: Lying along the scenic coastline of Odisha, Puri is important to pilgrimage tourism due to the iconic Jagannath Temple. This temple is dedicated to Lord Jagannath, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. The temple is adorned with towering spires and detailed carvings. Rath Yatra in Puri is especially a popular time for pilgrimage. 

Tirupati: Tirupati is home to the sacred Sri Venkateswara temple. It sits atop the gorgeous Tirumala Hills and is considered to be an epicentre of spiritual devotion. Sri Venkateswara temple is dedicated to Venkateswara, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. It is known to be among the most visited and wealthiest religious sites in the world.
