About Jaisalmer Tourism

Jaisalmer is a quintessential desert town located in the remote westernmost corner of Rajasthan. Tourism in Jaisalmer is characterized by ancient Jain Temples, enchanting havelis, majestic forts and sparkling sand dunes found in this town. It is often referred to as the Golden City of India, because almost all the construction work in Jaisalmer is done with yellow sandstone. Yellow sandstone buildings across the city, along with the bright setting sun of Jaisalmer are truly a magnificent sight. Booking a Jaisalmer tourism package would give you the chance to witness moments much like a scene from the Arabian Nights. The Havelis of Jaisalmer beautifully showcases Rajasthan's opulent architectural heritage. These mansions often feature intricate facades and exquisite carvings, which provide a glimpse into the affluent lifestyle of people who once inhabited them.

Jaisalmer houses one of the most stunning structures in Rajasthan, the Jaisalmer Fort. It is a yellow sandstone structure that stands tall atop a hill and overlooks the entire city. This Fort is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and seems to blend seamlessly with the surrounding desert. Hence, it is often called the "Sonar Quila" or the Golden Fort. You can enjoy a comfortable visit to the Jaisalmer Fort, and many other wonderful sightseeing spots, simply by booking Jaisalmer tourism packages with Veena World.
