Manali Keylong Chandrataal

Today we visit Hidimba Mandir – set amidst the snow-covered hills of Manali, this temple is a unique shrine dedicated to Hidimba. Later we visit Himalayan Nyinmapa Tibetan Buddhist Monastery – known for its architectural beauty and then we have free time for shopping at Mall Road. In the evening we enjoy bonfire with traditional Himachali Folk Dance followed by dinner.

Then we drive through the new tourist hotspot Atal Tunnel (Subject to Operation) – world's longest tunnel at an altitude of 10,040 feet. Today we visit Chandrataal Lake – stunning lake situated on the Samudra Tapu plateau which overlooks the Chandra River. The name Chandra Taal (Lake of the Moon) comes from its crescent shape. Legend has that the Chandrataal Lake lies in the vicinity of a place from where God Indra's chariot picked up Yudhishthira, the eldest of Pandava brothers in Mahabharata.

Today we proceed to Solang Valley – a splendid valley in Solang village offering magnificent views of the glaciers and snow-capped mountains. Here we enjoy a Ropeway ride and admire the Himalayan mountains. Those who are with adventure spirit can experience thrilling activities like Paragliding, Biking, Trekking and Hiking at an additional cost. Later we proceed to Keylong – a town which stands out as oasis of greenery among the white and brown mountains of Lahaul Spiti region.

Today we visit Baralacha La Pass via Jispa – a high mountain pass in Zanskar range. Enroute we visit Deepak Tal – a small lake at a height of 12,300 feet above sea level surrounded by majestic Himalayan Mountains and Suraj Tal – a sacred body of water also known as Lake of the Sun God.

Today we proceed to Manali – gorgeous hill station located in the heart of snowy mountains. A spectacular drive will take us to Rohtang Road Snow Point. We have free time to play in the snow and click pictures to our heart’s content.

Please Note: Rohtang pass is 51 kms away from Manali. This Pass is not accessible for almost 8 months in a year, as it is covered by snow. We generally visit the snow point on Rohtang road, which has been permitted by the Border Security Force.

Also note: Snow clothes, jackets and gum boots are available on rent in the shops located on Rohtang Road, you can rent it at an additional cost if needed.

Today let’s experience the thrilling activity of River Rafting in the rapids of the cool white waters of Beas River. Later we proceed to Chandigarh.
