A few years back I was in the French Riviera, enjoying the sights of this dazzling, stunning, beautiful principality set against the deep blue sea. I was walking up the slopes of the town and admiring the Mediterranean coast when I could hear car engines revving up, and there was a palpable excitement in the air. With some searching, I found a small gap in the barricades built along the Formula 1 race track and caught a glimpse of the action.  It was simply incredible.
