About Auli Tourism

A beautiful part of Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand, Auli is nothing short of paradise on earth. Nestled high in the Garhwal region of the Himalayas, the soft slopes, snow-covered mountains, and forests teeming with lush deodars, oaks and pine trees are the most attractive parts of Auli tourism. The hill station is a popular winter destination and a ski resort that offers an ideal escape from the daily hustle. With activities like skiing, trekking, snowboarding, and ropeway rides, Auli is perfect for the adventurer within us.

But Auli offers more than just a winter adventure. Besides the heart-throbbing experiences these snow-covered slopes offer, the many treks to Nanda Devi, Kamet, Mana Parvat, Dunagiri, Joshimath, Gorson Budyal, Kauri Pass and Tapovan Trek offer nothing less than a true adventure. Enchanting bike trails and panoramic views of Auli also keep travellers occupied. The little hamlet of Joshimath and the second highest ropeway connecting it with Auli is another unforgettable part of our price-efficient Auli tourism packages.

Whether you plan to enjoy a cool winter evening gliding down bunny slopes or trekking through diverse landscapes, Veena World has planned an exciting itinerary for Auli tourism packages that guarantees an immersive and unforgettable experience.

Best Time to Visit Auli

Auli is considered one of the winter wonderlands in India. Considering the amount of snow that falls in the region, the best time to book a trip is between November to February when Auli tourism is at its peak. This is the time when Auli transforms into the perfect snowy paradise with slopes flush with soft and loose powdery snow.

Though the temperature during these months is near freezing, the thrill of joining the annual Skiing Festival and Auli Winter Sports is worth the bite. Plus, the views are simply unmatched.

But did you know that Auli is beautiful in off-seasons as well? Without the biting wind and snow crunching under your boots, Auli transforms after winters. The pleasant temperatures in spring and autumn with sparkling sun and golden hues are ideal for creating picture-perfect moments. The time is also excellent for outdoor activities like trekking, camping, taking long walks in the evening, bird watching or simply soaking in the views of the snow-capped Garhwal Himalayas.

If you enjoy solitudes, monsoon, with its misty mornings, grey clouds and rain-filled evenings can also be a wonderful time to plan Auli and Garhwal tourism.

Experience The Best Of Auli

Whether you prefer travelling with a group or family tour, find the perfect opportunity in honeymoon specials or women's specials. The ideal itinerary for Auli-Garhwal tourism can be found here at Veena World. But first, let us take a glimpse into what Auli has in store for you.

Nanda Devi National Park

In the region of Nanda Devi Peak, lies a natural biosphere which is also the most beautiful wildlife park in Uttarakhand. Famous for its natural beauty and the exotic species of flora and fauna, his high-altitude national park is an essential part of Auli-Garhwal tourism, claimed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site along with the Valley of the Flowers for its meadows of endemic alpine flowers and natural beauty. Most of the area in the backwoods covers Rishi Gorge surrounded by a lush vegetation of rhododendron, birch, juniper and fir. But in the inner sanctuary, near the Nanda Devi glacier, species of Ramani, alpine, prone mosses and lichens are more prominent.

A popular destination in Auli tourism in India, the park is reachable through a 13 km trek from Joshimath. The recreational territory is home to west Himalayan fauna and a number of threatened animals and avifauna species such as snow leopard, Himalayan Musk Deer, Wild Langur, Brown Bear, Larks, Grace’s Warbler, finches, ruby-throated hummingbird etc.

Chenab Lake

One of the lesser-known spots in Uttarakhand, Chenab Lake is a small man-made crystalline water lake located near Joshimath. Surrounded by oaks trees, deodars, mountain peaks and rolling meadows, the lake is a treasure to behold. Plan a tour of Chenab Lake with our Auli tourism packages and enjoy the wonders of nature. The beauty of the lake lies in its reflective waters and the trails surrounding the Himalayan mountain range. The serene surroundings of the lake offer a peaceful retreat for travellers seeking a respite. Since the lake is situated off the beaten track, the only way to reach it is through a trek that begins from Joshimath. Because of its low difficulty level, the trek is considered ideal for beginners.

Auli Ropeway

Connecting Joshimath to Auli, this ropeway offers some magnificent views of the Himalayan Range. One of the longest and highest ropeways in India, Auli Ropeway offers a bird’s eye view of the dense forest and meadows that turn a magical shade of snowy white in winter. The ropeway is supported by 10 steel towers and covers a distance of about four and a half kilometres in 25-30 minutes. The panoramic views of the valley as the cable car slowly floats through the air make it one of the most memorable experiences of Auli tourism.

Chattrakund Lake

Chattrakund Lake is one of the most underrated places in Auli. When most tourists skip over to the ski resorts, only a few care to venture to this hidden gem situated only a few kilometres away from the hill station. Off the beaten path, the lake is accessible through a trek and only a few minutes ahead of Gurso Bugyal. This sweet water lake is secluded from other crowded places and surrounded by tall thick trees that give off an almost surreal feeling. The picturesque panoramic views are beautiful enough to enchant everyone with its peace, calm and serenity. Chattrakund is a must-include sightseeing spot in Auli tourism.

Saildhar Tapovan

A small hamlet near Joshimath, Saildhar Tapowan is famous for for its natural hot water spring located only a few kilometres away. The village is particularly popular among tourists for the warm hospitality of the locals and the beautiful handicrafts sold in the shopping market near the hot springs.

Auli Ski Resort

A visit to Auli is incomplete without skiing down the steep slopes. And seeing that there is no dearth of snow in winter and the hill station is famed as a skiing resort, the best facilities are available for tourists. From the breathtaking views of the Himalayan range to the warm hospitality of locals, easy access to the slopes and adventure activities, Auli Ski Resorts cater to the adventurer in you.
