Recently, a friend reached out with a simple yet challenging request: she needed ideas for a quick international family holiday. The destination had to be less than 3-4 hours away from India, packed with activities for all age groups, and easy to arrange at short notice. My immediate suggestion? Dubai or Abu Dhabi.

“Oh, but we’ve already been there,” she said. That’s when I leaned in and asked, “But have you swum with dolphins, glided on a glass slide hanging off a skyscraper, dined under the sea, or sipped a cappuccino dusted with real gold?” Her surprised reaction proved my point: Dubai and Abu Dhabi are destinations that reinvent themselves every year.
